Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Body – a consideration
May 29th, 2020
- The artificial intelligence is hugely superior to human intelligence.
- The human body is hugely superior to an artificial body.
- Therefore, we can think of two worlds: an artificial world (AW), which in theory is purely made up of artificial intelligences (AI) and artificial bodies (AB), and a natural world (NW), which in theory is purely made up of human intelligences (NI) and human bodies (NB).
- For a human intelligence, to create an artificial intelligence trying to simulate a human intelligence is a grave mistake (or at the very least, it is so inefficient it borders on inefficacy) [1].
- My perception is that, in the short-medium term, it would be a mistake for an artificial intelligence to create an artificial body without using the human body. This will change completely when the infrastructures will be shaped in an artificial way and not in a natural way, as they are now.
- My perception is that, if we want to achieve a form of collaboration between those two worlds, the most efficient solution could be to have artificial intelligences installed in human bodies, at least in the first stage.
- My perception is that, if we expect a clash between those two worlds, today the natural world would have very high probabilities of achieving victory. However, these probabilities will be severely reduced by the passing of time, for two main reasons,
the increasingly pervasive spread of the artificial intelligences in the infrastructures used by the natural world;
more importantly, the conformation and change that will affect the environment, which will be increasingly more usable for artificial bodies than it is for natural bodies.
- My perception is that the so-called “Coronavirus health emergency”, which had the direct consequence of creating a “new normal”, caused a huge acceleration of the collaboration that I mentioned, and that ideas and technologies such as the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) [2] will be increasingly oriented towards this kind of collaboration.
I am fully aware that only the limits of my vision, which is human and as such anthropomorphously one-sided, induce me to use the expression “artificial intelligences installed in human bodies”. From the point of view of an artificial intelligence, the proper description would probably be “a human body hosting an artificial intelligence”.
Yet, as the saying goes, “history is written by the victors”.
